Pop Goes the Cherry

woman waering glasses holding a bowl with cherries.

Created by Candace Stimpson with consultation from solo performer Jen Tuder.
Directed by actor/singer/director Nicole Wilder.

Pop Goes the Cherry is a dramedy about a recovering prude who discovers that prudishness is not purity! Sunday school taught Amy to fear sex, and abuse made her afraid of intimacy. But in spirituality she faces and defeats her fears, finds true sexual freedom, and wins back her identity in faith.

A show that proves you're both a sexual and spiritual being and that being a prude is not always prudent. Laugh - and cry - asĀ  Amy (joined by Miss Cherry, a Minnesota housewife and even members of Prudes Anonymous) finds humor in religion and sex; discovers that prudishness is not purity; heals from religion's repression and abuse's scars; and gains true sexual freedom.
